Hello Everyone,
We are so happy to be back in the USA and appreciate all your prayers and encouragement that made this possible.
We arrived on Thursday, March 28 at Dulles International in Washington DC. Our first few days have been spent resting and preparing for the Women in the World Summit. While in Lynchburg we have done some shopping, visited with friends and shared a wonderful Easter holiday. The worship experience on Easter was amazing and helped us to realize how great is God’s love for us.
We are now on the train going to New York City! This will be a great few days as we will have the opportunity to share our story with many others.
Tomorrow we will be meeting with Beatriz Marinello, vice president of the world chess organization, FIDE. Robert is a member of the international Social Action Committee of Fide and they will discuss ways to improve educational opportunities for children in developing nations.
Also on Wednesday, ABC News will interview us and prepare a video clip as Phiona has been named the “Person of the Week,” for ABC. You can see the clip on the Nightly News with Diane Sawyer on Friday evening.
After a great time on the train we have arrived in New York City! The Summit provided a limo that picked us from the station and delivered us to our home for the week – Empire Hotel. We are now checked in and looking forward to meeting some friends, Paul and Lauren from Simon and Schuster. After that a walk around, dinner and early night for rest and preparation.
So far God has blessed our travel and our time here. We again thank you for your prayers and request that you continue to pray that God will use us in a powerful manner.
Robert, Phiona, Rodney and Amanda!
